Fun picture with Vickie

Can't seem to find the original to get a high quality version.  Apparently this one is old and passed around but it sort of fits the essence of Vickie.  She is an expert in various martial disciplines in my Vickie series of books.

Vickie translated into Portuguese

I am very happy that my book Vickie, the first book in the series, is now being published in Portuguese.  It follows Vic/Tim already translated and the entire series is currently available in Spanish.  Other languages being translated currently are French, Hindi, Italian and Japanese with others being negotiated.  Having my books in other languages is a great honor.

É um dia quente de verão em um trecho de estrada longo e sem fim. A família Newsome está prestes a se mudar para perto de alguns parentes e recomeçar a vida. Tom e Mary, assim como sua filha de oito anos, Vickie, estão enfrentando uma longa jornada até seu tão esperado destino, a casa do irmão de Tom, Dan. As dificuldades os afastaram de seu lar e eles armaram uma fuga com o dinheiro que tinham e arrastando algumas posses atrás deles dentro de um trailer. Como um vagão de trem modernizado, eles se encaminhavam para o Oeste para encontrar uma vida e um começo novos. Tom Newsome sabe que está na estrada errada, mas acabou perdendo o caminho. Sua esposa diz para ele sair da interestadual e ver se consegue encontrar um mapa ou instruções. Isso viola sua masculinidade, mas no final das contas percebe que é uma causa perdida. Ele desce por uma rua solitária, saindo da estrada interestadual e vê um cruzamento e um pequeno e precário posto de gasolina.
