Meet Cindy from the Vickie series of books

What will the Vickie books do to you?

One of the interesting things about my Vickie books is I have had two men on separate occasions corner me about the stories. They said they really liked the story but hated Vickie. They said she was too strong, too smart, and not nice. My response is how could a woman be too anything and was there anything in the book description that led you to believe she was a hero or suppose to be nice? Vickie is abrupt, politically incorrect but she does care. My advice to them was to go figure out why a book emotionally disturbs them so much. So what will these books do to you?

There is a Vickie series book for everyone

The Vickie series of books deal with real life issues and Vickie is an instrument of her own brand of justice upon things she feels is wrong, or at least in her way.  When I started this journey writing about her, it was with the book Vic/Tim.  That book  is the story of Vickie and Tim that victimize each other yet become more than just entangled but dependent.  After it was published people asked me how Vickie became who she is.  So Vic/Tim became #4 in the book series and I started working on the prequels Vickie and Valkyrie which are out.  I am finishing the book Violet now in which Vickie faces a powerful nemesis.  Finally there will be two sequels after Vic/Tim.  Interesting to me that different people value one book in the series over all the rest.  I personally like Vic/Tim as it holds some real life issues known to me.  Others have told me that Vickie is the most meaningful to them.  While a movie producer likes the Lazarus Game scenario in Valkyrie.  So each to their own.  I am glad that each book carries Vickie in a different adventure through her journey that most can find as their favorite.  I hope that one of them finds their way to your heart as well.  Vickie, Valkyrie and Vic/Tim available online everywhere, ebook, print and audiobook.  Also available in various languages.  This book series is currently being vetted for a TV series.

Southern Cross book sent to editing

Well my book Southern Cross is now in the hands of the editor, may God have mercy on their soul ha!  This story is one of a multitude of short stories written by me over the years.  Working on this one in tandem with my Vickie series was important as I borrow some of the characters in Vickie to "Easter egg" in this book.  It is an all age appropriate book that tells the tale of a young boy named Miguel.  He discovers the stars are not correct and something is very wrong.  His discovery takes him and his poor village on a big adventure and makes him world famous.  When I shared this with friends and family many years ago as a short story I was begged to make it in to a novel.  It is one of my favorite stories.  So by the end of January when it is polished, I will submit to literary agents for a shot to get it published.  If that fails, then will publish through my own company and move forward.

Barney Cohen producer on board to make Vickie series of books a TV show

I am very excited to announce that my Vickie series of books have caught the attention of a Hollywood producer of TV and movies.  Barney Cohen has a long resume in writing/producing including; FRIDAY THE 13^TH: THE FINAL CHAPTER, GUERNICA, FOREVER KNIGHT, SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH,
NEXT DOOR and the list goes on and on.  Having Barney on board putting together my Vickie series of books into a TV show brings great credit to this becoming a reality.  My many thanks to him and Leni Rico for her tireless efforts in helping work on this as well.  Also on board is my friend Nicole Andani who brings her sage wisdom that has helped me make the books a reality themselves.  Hopefully as the momentum builds more will come aboard to make this TV series happen and be awesome.

Happy Thanksgiving

All I need is you

This is my first book written, Vic/Tim.  It took me two years to write after it had been shelved as a short story for eight years.  It is kind of hard to genre.  Is it a psychological thriller, a self-help fiction story, or just a book in limbo?  Hard to say really.  Will it and its companion series books get picked up by a big publishing house?  I would love it.  Will it be made into a TV series?  I have dreamed of it and even have the theme music picked out ha!  I really do not know where the journey ends for my character Vickie or this series.  There are so many it competes with.  So many great and wonderful books that are edited to perfection and polished in appearance.  How can you be heard among thousands of voices?  It just takes the right person to believe in it for just a moment.  That is all I need.

Are you tough enough to read about Vickie ad

Simple ad that we passed out at the Katy Rice Harvest Festival last year.  It yielded some good so we used it in a facebook ad.  That generated a lot of hits to the website.  I guess the challenge it proposed intrigued people because these books are tough to handle for some people.  Although at the festival there was one lady that thought I was soliciting tattoo services and asked; "would you put a bumper sticker on a Lexis."  It is a good lesson on being careful how you advertise.

Vickie's Beginning

The book Vickie is her start from a young age to her first jobs out of college.  It is the beginning of her path to destiny.  The hardships and heartbreaks all prepare her for what she must do.  She is tough, smart and the fire of hard events forge her to be an instrument of justice.  She is Valkyrie to some and nightmare to others.  Whatever you may think she is, she is just Vickie to herself.

The darkness around Vickie

When I first wrote the book Vic/Tim I had no idea how it would be received. Most loved it and said they could not put it down. Several told me they liked the book but hated the Vickie character. No matter which side you are on about the Vickie series of books, it tends to generate emotions. They are not timid books by any means. They deal with real life hard issues, some of which have happened to people. Vickie exposes and dispenses her brand of justice on people and things she feels deserve it, or at least are in her way. These books may take you to some very dark places but rest assured they will deal with that abyss for you. Will the Vickie books sell millions of copies? I have no idea what will happen. What I do know is those that have experienced them, won't soon forget about them.

Vickie now being publishing in French!

Vickie has gone through it all.

Soon to be edited and published is Violet.  The next in the Vickie series of books.  Violet is in charge of her family business and that business is controlling global affairs politically and financially.  For generations her family has been the power behind many things in the world and Violet is now in charge.  However Vickie has affected her business and Violet will not have it.  We get a hint of Violet and her power in the already published book Valkyrie.  Soon we will see what Vickie will need to do and change in herself to deal with Violet.

Valkyrie and Violet symbols, and who are they?

I was going for an iconic look for the books Valkyrie and Violet.  The red rose typically symbolizes Vickie's good nature.  However the red Valkyrie symbol shows her rose color but the wings of a Valkyrie that takes worthy people where they need to be.  I modified a purchased symbol for Valkyrie so that the helmet would be shaped like an empty heart.  This is very significant for Vickie as her heart is broken and not filled but yet there.

Violet's symbol is typifies her character.  Violet is from a very powerful politically and financially old money family.  They have been influencing the world for their purpose for many generations.  They see people as livestock and they are the caretaker and sometimes the butcher.  They see even economies of countries as their tool to work with.  Violet is the head of this family now and has instigated programs that lead to her ultimate goals of world control.  The symbol is purple to give the hint of Violet's name but more to show royalty.  Because Violet feels she is real royalty of the world.  However Vickie has come across one of her programs and interfered with it in the book Valkyrie.  While Vickie has claimed a victory for it, she does not realize that it has put her on Violet's radar.  Now Violet has resolved herself to deal with this Vickie issue once and for all.  So I wanted Violet's symbol to be more stern, very much about her character, cold and sharp.  Both symbols reflect the V shape of feminine power throughout history.  Vickie's is more subtle while Violet's is more pronounced.

When I wrote Vic/Tim originally I had several men talk with me for literally hours and they were disturbed by the Vickie character though they liked the story.  Vickie was not nice and not much of a hero in their estimation.  I asked if I ever made that assumption in my stories?  But the significance that they were emotionally disturbed by a fictitious character proved I was on to something.  However when I expanded by reader's request, the book into a series, I decided to create a nemesis to Vickie.  One that was more powerful, more harsh, and show what human evil is really capable of.  Violet will show that Vickie is not that bad to those feeling that way.


So who is Vickie?

She takes care of those she cares about despite the ruin of her own personal life by circumstances.  She is lonely but thrust into relationships with people.  Her mind has a singular purpose to achieve the goals set before her but destiny keeps throwing people in need her way.  She becomes a protector of those weaker or confined by life's rules.  She has no fear of consequences, no political correctness.  She is not religious yet believes in God.  She is not into conspiracy theories yet she knows people do things in secret.  There is no limit to what level of person or issue she will face.  She can categorize any tragedy in her mind and overcome it.  It is her strength.  She if physically strong to beat even most men in combat.  She brings wrong people down and the rebuilds them as they should be.  She is not bound by rules.  She has no prejudices or hatred of any race, religion or belief only those things that hurt people.  She will use whatever tools available to achieve her goals.  Life's hardships have forged her into a person of great capability but for what purpose ultimately?  We will soon see in the final books and know why she is the Valkyrie.

I am finishing my fourth book in the Vickie series which closes the gap between Valkyrie and Vic/Tim in that series.  The book Violet is about Vickie being targeted by a rich politically powerful woman named Violet.  Violet is resolved to punish Vickie for interfering in her work in the book Valkyrie.  Vickie will have to go to a whole new level in order to take on this nemesis.  The drama continues where Valkyrie has left off and will end leaving us to start with the original book Vic/Tim.  Violet will soon go to editing but I have decided on a cover design.  We have seen the Valkyrie logo for Vickie, now we see Violet's.  If you have not read Vickie, Valkyrie or Vic/Tim I ask you to support my books and my habit of writing.
